"Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. period." I do not believe this is a fair statement as art classes are beneficial for many students. Learning the arts often let a child express themselves naturally. It also allows students to develop good social skills, risk-taking and motor skills. It is said that art also helps a student's memory and concentration skills in class.
